CASUAL TEACHERS

St Bishoy Coptic Orthodox College welcomes expressions of interest from qualified and committed Christian educators to join our Casual Teacher Pool. We are seeking teachers who can support student learning across K–12 and contribute positively to our College community when staff relief is required.

What We Are Looking For

Casual teachers who:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned to NSW syllabus outcomes
  • Maintain a calm, orderly and supportive classroom environment
  • Contribute professionally and positively when assisting across different stages
  • Demonstrate reliability, clear communication and sound professional judgment
  • Uphold the Christian ethos and values of the College in daily practice
  • Are comfortable teaching across years K–12, depending on College needs
Requirements
  • Current NESA teacher accreditation (or eligibility if newly graduated)
  • Valid Working With Children Check clearance
  • A demonstrated commitment to professional conduct and student wellbeing
  • Capacity to adapt quickly to different classes, routines and learning needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching and support staff

  • A current résumé (maximum two pages) including NESA accreditation and WWCC details
  • Contact details for two professional referees, one preferably from your most recent school placement or teaching role
Additional Information
  • Engagement is on an as-needed basis and hours are not guaranteed
  • Casual rates are paid in accordance with the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025
  • All successful applicants must complete the College’s induction and mandatory training requirements before commencing
