Michael Atteya

BA, GradDipEd, MLS

Michael Atteya is a faith-driven educational leader with more than 30 years’ experience across Christian, independent and systemic schools in NSW. Beginning his career as a Humanities teacher, he has served in senior roles including Head of Secondary, Deputy Principal and Principal.

Known for his servant-leadership, strategic focus and strong pastoral care, Michael has led whole-school transformation, strengthened governance and compliance and fostered environments where every student is known, valued and challenged.

He has been Principal of St Bishoy Coptic Orthodox College since 2014, following leadership roles at St Mary & St Mina’s College and Northern Beaches Christian School. Under his leadership, the College has continued to grow in academic achievement, staff development and community engagement, while remaining deeply grounded in its Orthodox Christian faith.
