Our Christian Life

At St Bishoy College, faith is at the heart of every school day. Our students begin each morning gathered in the church, praying together before moving into their classes with a sense of unity and purpose. Prayer continues to shape the rhythm of the day, with moments of reflection before recess, lunch and dismissal.

Faith is at the heart of every school day.

Our students live out their faith through service, with primary and high school learners visiting local nursing homes, creating Christmas cards to bring joy to the elderly and leading donation drives that support Coptic Orphans and families in need. In Coptic Orthodox Studies, students engage deeply with the Bible, church history and the rich traditions of our faith, enriched by the guidance of our priests who visit classrooms to teach and hear confessions.

Our Young Leaders Program further strengthens this foundation by nurturing the Christian spirit in Stage 3 students. Based on the belief that every child is gifted by God, the program helps students discover their strengths and use them in service to others. Through key areas such as communication, teamwork, service, personal development and physical endeavour, students learn to lead with confidence, kindness and humility, supported by their families as they grow academically, socially and spiritually.

Across the College, our pastoral care programs place a strong emphasis on the fruits of the Holy Spirit, helping students grow in character, compassion and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the world..
